Breaking Student News

Junior Shannyn Belser has been selected by The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History to be one of the 13 performances during the student spotlight morning program preceding the December 6, 2017 matinee performance of the Broadway show "Hamilton". Selected from among many schools,Shannyn won the St. Mary's portion of the competition with her original rendition of "Whiskey Rebellion Rap", a hip-hop version of the 1794 revolt of Pennsylvania who refused to pay an excise tax on whisky. Shannyn is a History student in Ms. Brogan's class who supervised her research and presentation. Mr. Muroski was the school liaison with Gilder Lehrman who also helped select Shannyn's rap among other submissions.

St. Mary's would like to congratulate Shannyn on her endeavors. Shannyn is a product of your investment!
